Education
My multicultural background has led me to believe that education is not restricted and confined to the classroom. I believe in applying and sharing knowledge gained through an array of experiences into practical solutions.
I graduated in April 2012 with a diploma in Hospitality Management from SAIT Polytechnic, which allowed me to learn operations management, marketing, labour relations and situational decision making.
In September 2013 I graduated from Royal Roads University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Hotel Management. This degree taught me a great deal of business acumen along with operational excellence, maintaining brand standards and labour relationships.
After working as a manager for one of North America's largest hotels, I came to discover my strong passion for the advancement of technological innovations. Through my desire to study the development and utilization of technology, in addition to making strong positive impacts on society, I decided to pursue a new career in engineering.
Thus, in April 2016 I graduated from Cape Breton University with a diploma in Engineering. This is where practical experience in the development of new technologies and sustainability became a large part of my main interest.
I aim to graduate from Dalhousie University in December 2019 with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have acquired the opportunity to develop my skills in computational analysis, 3-D modelling, project management, the finite element method, and stress analysis.
With continued application of my collective knowledge, I strive to strengthen myself with a PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification, and Six Sigma Certifications which include Green Belt, Black Belt, and Master Black Belt.
